Put simply, we can only presume that this delay is because those console ports are taking much longer to put together than originally thought. This would seemingly suggest that were a long way behind when compared to the current state of the PC version since they were allowing themselves, at the time, 8-9 on their current 2022 projection. The game has been in development for several years, and promises to be a faithful update to the original classic. The only reason they were yet to actually release it was that they were having to now start work on the console ports. While the System Shock remake may be delayed on PS5 and PS4 consoles, it is still set to release on PC on May 30th, 2022. – And by ‘somewhat vague’, what we mean is that it’s only cited as a ‘planned release date’ meaning that the System Shock Remake may not even land then!
